On March 30, 2014, Caleb Prohaska, member of the Iowa State chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon, was awarded the Interfraternity Council’s President of the Year Award. Frater Prohaska was initiated into the Epsilon Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon in 2010. From the moment Caleb arrived on campus, he has played a major role in the success of Epsilon Chapter. Frater Prohaska has given considerable leadership talent to our chapter, serving as Epsilon’s Lawn Display Chairman (bringing home 1st place in 2013), Pylortes, Hypophetes, and Prytanis. One of Caleb’s many achievements includes his transformation of Epsilon’s scholarship program. Through his leadership, the Chapter’s GPA increased from 2.64 to 3.12 over the past two years.
Outside of Epsilon, Caleb excels in the classroom. He is a senior in Construction Engineering, but you can typically find him studying in “Spike’s Library”. Additionally, he serves as a Co-Director for Up ‘Til Dawn (a nationwide student-led philanthropic program in which college students raise funds for and awareness of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital) and a member of Iowa State University’s Cardinal Key (Iowa State’s premier honorary society).
Caleb is an exceptional leader and outstanding example of what we strive for with all of our members. We are all thankful for the valuable service he has provided to Epsilon Chapter. We look forward to welcoming his leadership to the Alumni Association upon graduation. If you wish to send Caleb a congratulatory message, feel free to email him at: email@example.com
